Matt Gaetz Claims US Army Using 'Migrant Caravans' for Alien Hybrid Breeding, as Australian Senator Stirs Viral Firestorm

Matt Gaetz's explosive claims about secret alien-human hybrid programs allegedly revealed by a US Army officer, along with viral reactions and political fallout involving figures like David Grusch and Ralph Babet.

Former US congressman Matt Gaetz has claimed a uniformed US Army officer once briefed him on secret 'hybrid breeding programmes' where captured aliens were being crossbred with humans abducted from war zones and migrant caravans, sparking a viral firestorm that landed on the eve of April Fools' Day.

Gaetz Alleges 6 to 12 'Breeding Sites' Across the US

Speaking on 'The Benny Show' on Tuesday, 31 March, Gaetz told host Benny Johnson that a 'senior enlisted man with the US Army' approached him while he was still serving in Congress. The alleged whistleblower outlined what Gaetz described as a covert operation involving 'living' extraterrestrials forced to mate with humans taken from conflict zones and even 'the caravans of migrants.'

Gaetz said there were between six and 12 facilities across the country where the alleged programme was being carried out. He described the briefing as 'non-classified' and said members of his staff were present.

He pointed to former intelligence officer David Grusch's 2023 congressional testimony about 'non-human biologics' in recovered craft. Gaetz admitted he never verified the claims and has not explained why he didn't raise the allegations while in office.

An Australian Senator Joins the Chorus

Within hours of the clip going viral on X, Australian Senator Ralph Babet responded with a post that drew nearly 3 million views. 'I wish I could say more but unfortunately everything I know about the alien hybrid programme is classified,' Babet wrote. 'Let's just say some of you would be very surprised who's not entirely human.'

I wish I could say more but unfortunately everything I know about the alien hybrid program is classified.

Let’s just say some of you would be very surprised who’s not entirely human.

That’s all I’m authorised to disclose at this time. https://t.co/YCiabSuWhr

The timing raised immediate scepticism. Gaetz's interview dropped on 31 March in the US, which was already 1 April in Australia. Commenters were quick to note the overlap, with some dismissing Babet's post as an April Fools' stunt.

Babet's credibility has already come under fire. The Australian Senate censured the United Australia Party senator in November 2024 for 'inflammatory use of hate speech, designed to drive division for his own political benefit.'

He was later ordered to undergo sensitivity training over racist, homophobic, and sexist posts on X. He refused, calling the findings 'dumb' and the training 'ridiculous'.

The White House Has Been Fuelling the Fire

Gaetz's claims didn't land in a vacuum. The Trump administration registered the Aliens.gov domain in mid-March through the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly responded to questions about the site with two words and a smiling alien emoji. 'Stay tuned', she said.

Vice President JD Vance, in a separate interview with the same host days earlier, said he was 'obsessed' with unidentified flying object (UFO) files and pledged to 'get to the bottom' of the matter. He then offered his own take. 'I don't think they're aliens. I think they're demons anyway,' he said.

Why the Timing Matters More Than the Claims

Babet's framing follows a pattern familiar to disinformation researchers. By citing 'classified' knowledge, he makes his claim impossible to verify or refute. His post generated millions of impressions regardless.

Whether Gaetz or Babet believes what they're saying is almost beside the point. The political mainstreaming of alien disclosure talk now involves a sitting vice president, a former congressman, and an Australian senator sanctioned for inflammatory behaviour.

No credible evidence from official or independent sources supports the existence of any hybrid breeding programme. No formal US Army statement has confirmed such a briefing took place.

But on a day that straddles 31 March and 1 April across two hemispheres, the line between spectacle and statecraft has never been thinner.
