Is Web3 Still for Developers - or Just for Speculators With a GitHub Account?
Hi sweetie! Imagine you have two big toy boxes.
One toy box is called "Web3." It's like a special box where you can build things with digital blocks, like making a secret club online or special digital stickers.
The other toy box is called "AI." This box has magic robots that can learn and help you do cool things, like drawing pictures or telling stories!
Lots of grown-ups who used to play with the "Web3" blocks are now super excited about the "AI" robots! They think the robots can do even more amazing stuff right now.
So, some grown-ups are saying, "Let's build really useful things with whatever toys we have, whether it's the blocks or the robots!" It's all about making cool new games and tools for everyone! Yay!
Web3 developer activity has dropped sharply, with talent migrating to AI. Alchemy's Uttam Singh argues this is partly cyclical, partly a healthy correction — and that the future belongs to builders who prioritize real product-market fit over hype, whether they're building in crypto, AI, or both. productmarketgithubMark Bertolini - Performance During Pain - [Invest Like the Best, EP.438]
My guest today is Mark Bertolini. Mark is the former CEO of Aetna and the current CEO of Oscar Health. He shares one of the most extraordinary leadership stories I've encountered—surviving a catastrophic skiing accident that left him in chronic pain for 18 years while simultaneously leading one of healthcare's most successful corporate turnarounds. His personal experience navigating his son's life-threatening cancer battle and his own medical challenges fundamentally changed his approach to healthcare, leading to innovations in employee welfare that Wall Street initially questioned but ultimately celebrated. During his tenure at Aetna, Mark generated 652% total shareholder return by implementing revolutionary employee policies and is now applying these lessons at Oscar Health to disrupt th

Show HN: Vim Navigator – MCP server that lets AI agents drive your Neovim
I use Coding tools daily and got tired of it describing code by line numbers. So I built an MCP server that lets the agent control my Neovim instance instead: opening files, highlighting lines, adding annotations, splitting views. The tool I actually wanted was "walkthrough mode": I ask the agent to walk me through a PR, it opens each file, highlights what matters, explains briefly, and waits for my questions. Turns code review into pair programming where the agent points at the screen. It also works passively — while the agent investigates a bug or reads code, my Neovim follows along so I can see what it's looking at. Built with pynvim, talks to Neovim via --listen socket. Works with any MCP client. https://github.com/kcaldas/vim-navigator Comments URL: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?i
